Arfa is cousins with one of my past couples Huma and Rahman, and I was over the moon when Arfa reached out to ask me to photograph her and Sammy’s Nikkah at Syeda Khadija Centre Masjid! Arfa and Sammy had originally planned for a nikkah at the masjid followed by a reception, but with the recent restrictions they ended up having to cancel the reception. I’m so glad they were still able to hold their nikkah, as it was such a beautiful ceremony. After their nikkah we were headed to a park to photograph their portraits, but it ended up pouring right before we started. Thankfully, Arfa had booked Mint Room Studios as a backup location so we ended up photographing their portraits there. These two were so much fun to work with!
