Fyeza and Ifte held their Nikkah at The Carvers Cottage in Pickering, and it was the perfect venue for their beautiful outdoor nikkah wedding ceremony. They only had a few guests in person and the rest joined in online, including Ifte’s family who are in Bangladesh. I started off the day photographing Fyeza’s getting ready which was an absolute dream! I love Fyeza’s attention to the little details which you’ll see throughout the day. One detail I loved was the personalized ring box she got from The Mrs. Box with her and Ifte’s names and crest engraved into it. The venue also provided them with a sign with their names carved out of wood outside of the venue entrance which was such a great touch.

When I first arrived to the venue it was pouring RAIN and the forecast called for rain all day. We were worried we wouldn’t be able to capture their portraits, but, thankfully, right before their nikkah started the rain stopped and the sun started to peek out! We squeezed in a first look and some quick portraits before their nikkah began which turned out so beautifully! Both Fyeza and Ifte got very emotional during their first look as well as right after their nikkah. One of my favourite images is the one of Fyeza’s dad hugging Fyeza and Ifte so closely with tears in his eyes after the nikkah was completed. After exchanging rings and cutting their cake, Fyeza and Ifte performed a few really cool dances with their bridesmaids and groomsmen and then we wrapped up their day with some family photos and more bride and groom portraits! The venue had a beautiful pond and bridge which made a stunning background for our portraits, and some of the images we captured of Fyeza and Ifte after becoming husband and wife are my favourites!!
