I photographed Mohamed’s brother’s wedding a few years ago, and I was so excited when he reached out to ask me if I’d be able to photograph his surprise proposal to Aliya!! Mohamed planned out the sweetest and most romantic proposal for Aliya with the help of their best friends and family. Aliya’s best friend had told her that she’d take her to Lake Wilcox on Saturday morning just to hang out, and when they arrived she gave Aliya a rose with a little note attached. At that point Aliya definitely knew something was up! They then continued walking and another one of their friends was there, and he gave Aliya a rose with another note! It eventually led her to Mohamed who had set up lighted letters spelling out “Marry Me” in front of a beautiful view of the lake. It was just the perfect proposal!!
