The day of Brinda and Vino’s wedding called for 100% chance of rain for the entire day and they were planning on holding an outdoor ceremony in their backyard. Brinda and Vino prepared well and got some extra tents to make sure the entire backyard was covered. After a drizzly morning, the sun appeared and we got the most beautiful sunlight throughout the ceremony as well as for their wedding portraits at Parkwood Estate!!
We started the day at 5am(!!!) with Brinda and Vino’s getting ready photos with their parents before the ceremony. Brinda first entered with a green saree and after her red saree was blessed, she re-entered for the main ceremony. There were so many traditions as a part of their ceremony and they were all SO beautiful. One of my favourite moments was when Vino tied the thaali (necklace) around Brinda’s neck while their families threw flower petals over them. Some of the other wonderful traditions included placing of the sindoor (red) powder on the bride to signify a married woman, walking around the fire, looking into a mirror together for the first time, and the ring game where the priest drops ring into a bucket of water and the couple play against each other to see who gets the ring first.
We finished off Brinda and Vino’s wedding day with their portraits as husband and wife at Parkwood Estate in Oshawa. These two were just glowing and I am in love with how their portraits turned out. Brinda and Vino, I’m so grateful that you trusted me to capture your wedding day. Enjoy my favourites from your wedding day below!!!
