​Salwa and Gihad both went to Carleton University in Ottawa for their undergrad. Gihad was in Aerospace Engineering and Salwa was in International Business. They met while they were volunteering for a committee at university, and they hit it off right away! The rest is history! If you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to check out their engagement session from earlier this year which we did at a beautiful marina near Oakville and incorporated a detail to mark their time at Carleton University!

These two are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet! The entire day of their wedding they kept thanking me, and even wrote me the sweetest card that brought me to tears. Hearing their families’ and friends’ speeches on their wedding day made it clear that everyone in their life also appreciates how kind and thoughtful they are!

Some of my favourite parts of their wedding day included their first look (Gihad’s reaction was the CUTEST), our portraits at Mint Room Studios (we started at Kariya Park, but because of the rain we went to Mint Room instead!), and all the little details at the hall, including a beautiful mirror seating chart, and tasbih’s for favours that had an engraved label with their names on it in Arabic!
