Narrowing down the images for this blog post was so challenging because there was just SO much beauty on Salima and Shozab’s Aga Khan Museum Wedding day!!! These two planned an intimate outdoor ceremony at Aga Khan Museum followed by a reception at Byblos Downtown, one of their favourite restaurants in Toronto. I started the day photographing Salima getting ready and we got some of the cutest images with her family including her super adorable nephew. Salima’s family rented an airbnb to get ready in and it was the best decision because the house had a huge window which made for the most dreamy light to go with her dreamy details. Salima got her grandmother’s diamond nose ring that her grandma wore on her wedding day, custom made into a ring to wear for her wedding! It was such a great way to re-use heirloom jewelry and the ring looked absolutely stunning.

Salima and Shozab held their ceremony outdoors at the Aga Khan Museum which made for a stunning backdrop. It was an extremely hot day, but Salima and Shozab thought of every detail and made sure to give each guest a fan to keep themselves cool. After a beautiful ceremony and some words (and songs) from their family and friends, we photographed their bride and groom portraits around the museum, and then Salima and Shozab went to get changed into their reception outfits! We photographed their portraits again at the beautiful York University Glendon Campus and then made our way to Byblos for their reception. Like their ceremony, Salima and Shozab kept their reception very intimate and it had a really fun casual feel. I absolutely loved the intimacy of it and how much time the couple got to spend with their guests!
